Mondays Wrap up
PORTLAND, MAINE -- Monday featured a slate of three Elite League games.
FIREFIGHTERS LOSE SEASON OPENER, SHOW POTENTIAL
The Portland Firefighters had their CHL debut. The Huskies offense built chemistry with their second win of the season. Goals from Marescalchi & Vashon led the Huskies too a 5-3 victory over the Firefighters, who showed potential in just their first game of the season.
REYNOLDS CAPITALIZE ON SHORTHANDED YOSAKU
After falling to Jiffy last week, Reynolds & Sons were able to capitalize on a short Yosaku bench Monday night and score 8 goals through fourty-two minutes of play to get into the win column for the first time in the Chickadee League.
RED WINGS, JIFFY BATTLE IT OUT IN OVERTIME
The Red Wings and Jiffy were the first teams to showcase an overtime game this season. A back and fourth battle lead to both teams scoring in the dying minutes of the third. Ekhoff would score the GWG in overtime to lift the Wings over Jiffy.
