Whalers offense surge in thumping over Rats

The Whalers secured a decisive victory over the Wharf Rats with a final score of 9-3.

Scoring Breakdown:

  • 1st Period: The Wharf Rats opened the scoring early with a goal from Justin Perry, assisted by Evan Lavertu, making it 1-0.
  • 2nd Period: The Whalers dominated, scoring five unanswered goals. Heath Mclean tied the game, followed by goals from Jackson Wilson, Lucas Hubbard, Griffin Auch, and Dylan Putnam, leading to a 5-1 advantage by the end of the period.
  • 3rd Period: The Whalers continued their offensive onslaught with four more goals, including two from Griffin Auch and one each from Cam Brown and Dylan Putnam. Sam Neugebauer scored for the Wharf Rats, but it wasn't enough to close the gap.
